This Portsmouth Historical Society pilot project has converted the former city library to a new “one stop” central gateway to the historical, cultural and artistic venues of greater Portsmouth and a new exhibition site displaying the art and history of the region.

Kennedy Studios Gallery and Framing specializes in limited edition prints and local scenes, as well as original art and fine art photography. The Gallery is dedicated to full conservation framing, offering over 3,000 mouldings and unique custom framing designs.
Highly regarded for their modernist eye and exceptional client relations, Nahcotta features the artwork of an exciting stable of emerging to established artists. In this spacious, two-level gallery, Nahcotta’s passion for great design and original form is embodied in both their contemporary art exhibitions and home decor offerings.
Established in 1940 as an educational and professional nonprofit organization with a membership of over 400 juried visual artists. NHAA offers exhibits of high quality, a wide range of subjects, and varied media with changing exhibitions throughout the year.
The Portsmouth Art Exchange is a 3000+ sq. ft. gallery featuring 30 local artists in individual venues. The artists range from emerging talent to the well established. The displays include oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, ink, photography, collages, and woodworking. Many styles are represented from the traditional to impressionistic to abstract. We strive for a warm, inviting atmosphere that is unpretentious and that offers a variety of price points.
The Randall Gallery at the Portsmouth Athenæum on Market Square provides an intimate space overlooking Market Square for which to view art. Past exhibitions have included Selections from the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, Abandoned in the Arctic, The Warner House Coming Home, Russell Cheney: A New England Master, Susan Ricker Knox, The Artful Life of Thomas P. Moses, One Woman's Work: The Art of Celia Laighton Thaxter, and the Annual Proprietors' Exhibition.
Established in 2004 by artist and curator Kim Ferreira, Three Graces Gallery is celebrated for its eclectic variety of paintings, sculpture, mixed-media, pottery, jewelry and fine furniture. Three Graces features artwork by some of the region’s foremost emerging and established artists. We work toward the goal of representing artists whose works are contemporary expressions of a timeless aesthetic.
We take great pride in maintaining a close relationship with our clients as their collections develop and expand. At the same time our friendly environment welcomes not only experienced art collectors, but students and general art appreciators.
